Clean and convenient! Great pool and hot tub with easy access to the beach. Employees were very helpful and friendly. Quiet at night.

We were in convinced with the elevator not working. As an owner I was also concerned about wood root damage on the balcony. windowsill The room has been well maintained.

Carpets need cleaning in rooms and hallways. Oven needs updating...did not heat properly
Great service by friendly staff. All interactions with hotel staff were friendly. Like the room layout, especially the bathroom and separate vanity Resort provided beach chairs and umbrellas. Landry services. Location, location, location.

I love everything about my stay at Surfside Inn

I hesitate to post a positive review because part of me wants it to stay a hidden gem, but we could not be more satisfied with our stay at Surfside Inn. The building is older and the decor is a little dated, but all the surfaces and linens were very clean. We were lucky enough to get a 3rd floor balcony room overlooking the ocean, so it was nothing but blissful peace (until the Surfliner rolled through, but we found it to be a charming part of the territory). The advantage of the location is obvious, but the staff's kindness and the cleanliness of the room put this place over the top. Grabbing some provided beach loungers and having coffee with my toes in the morning surf was an absolute highlight. As long as the prices stay friendly, we'd love to come back again and again and again.

Hard surfaces feel cleaner, so replacing the carpet in the bedroom with a hard surface and a large rug would be an upgrade. Very happy with the room as-is, but it did cross my mind.
Location, location, location. Perfectly situated between Dana Point, SJC, and San Clemente. Could not be happier with the convenience of always being close by.

The shower/tub was a little strange, but it still worked. For older people, it might have been a little difficult for them, having to step into the shower/tub. The rug in the family room was not flat and we could see that an older person could trip, and hurt themselves. We were in room 108.
We had ocean view, the bed and pillows, were excellent. Had a really good night sleep and you couldn't even hear the traffic. The staff was fantastic, and very nice.
